About the author

William Kershner, a nationally renowned aviator, was named the 1992 General Aviation Flight Instructor of the year. This honour came as a culmination of his 50+ years in the industry as a pilot, instructor, author of flight manuals and owner of an aerobatic school in Tennessee.Kershner holds certificates and ratings for: Airline Transport Pilot - multi-engine, land: Commercial Privileges - single engine, land; Flight Instructor - single engine and multi engine aircraft and instrument; and ground instructor - advanced.
