Icarus Originals has created these limited-edition cufflinks in partnership with Aerotiques. They are a perfect replica of a 747 cast from fuselage aluminium recovered from the recently retired 747-436 G-CIVY – the last BA 747 to depart Heathrow (8 October 2020). Each cufflink has been handmade and polished in the UK. The bar of each cufflink has the aircraft tail number on one side and the year 2020 to mark her retirement. Each set is supplied in a high-quality hinged cufflink box and certificate of authenticity
The 747-400 is regarded as a highly reliable and proven performer in the air thanks to its innovative engineering enhancements over previous 747 models. This includes the addition of winglets, new flight decks and new avionics - making it the world’s fastest commercial jetliner! One of the most notable features on this iconic aircraft was the winglet enhancements - which provide the effect of having an even greater wingspan without outgrowing the standard airport slot.
