These kneeboards have been popular for decades and meet the requirements of Milspec MIL-C-23157D Int. Amendment 3, originally written for Air Force and Navy pilots as well as other members of the U.S. Dept. of Defence. They have also been used by thousands of general aviation pilots because of their proven reliability, high quality, and lightweight construction.
The wide elastic strap, contoured bottom with non-slip foam strips, and rounded corners allow for comfortable use. The deluxe model features a rheostat lighting system for both day and night use, and the top clip opens wide enough to hold all but the thickest NACO approach plate books. Illumination is provided by two long-life bulbs and is distributed over the entire surface by a special prism lens. Operates on three AA batteries (not included).
Overall measurements are 10" x 5 1/2"; weighs 16 oz.
