This adaptor is used for communication over your PC network via your actual Pilots headset. Simply plug the two jacks into the audio -in sockets on the back of your PC and plug your headset jacks into the two sockets on the adaptor. Standard configuration is for a Fixed Wing, i.e.: two jacks, but by using a simple fixed wing to helicopter adapter this can also be used for use with a helicopter headset.

Ideal for flight simulation training.

Info missing

"The missing info is that this needs a 9v battery to function. Also if you leave your headset connected for long periods there is probably a small drain on the battery, it would be better with an on/off switch and an indicator LED. Other than that it works fine with my PC and Dave Clarks headset."

Better than I was expecting

"I bought this to use my David Clark DC Pro headset for computer use, mainly long Skype work calls. I had to make an additional adapter (with call/end, mic mute and volume buttons) to match it to a USB socket on my laptop, which wasn't easy, but worth it. Regarding some reviews that state the battery life to be short (perhaps even a day or two)... I unplug all the plugs when not needed overnight, but I use this item for about 3 hours per day, and plugged in most of the working day... I'm getting very good battery life on this item, and the sound quality is great too."
