A superb 1/72 diecast WWII Imperial Japanese Naval Air Service (IJNAS) Aichi D3A1 Kanbaku Type 99 Torpedo Dive Bomber, flown by Tokuji Iizuka, Pearl Harbour, Hawaii, December 7th 1941.
The Allied reporting name for the aircraft was "Val".
Size: 6" (152mm) length, 7 3/4" (195mm) wingspan.

This limited edition packaging is the same as that sold on the Japanese retail market, a quality outer box with see through plastic front.

Aichi D3A Type 99
The Aichi D3A Type 99 Carrier Bomber (Allied reporting name "Val") is a World War II carrier-borne dive bomber. It was the primary dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and was involved in almost all IJN actions, including the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Aichi D3A was the first Japanese aircraft to bomb American targets in the war, commencing with Pearl Harbor and U.S. bases in the Philippines, such as Clark Air Force Base.
Vals sank more Allied warships than any other Axis aircraft. Aichi D3A1 Kanbaku/ValDesigned to meet an Imperial Japanase Navy requirement for a carrier-based dive bomber, the D3A was first flown in January, 1938.
The Val was a fixed-gear dive bomber, but it had better manoeuvrability than similar aircraft. It was stable but lightly armoured short burst from heavy machine guns could easily destroy it. Armed with two forward-firing 7.7 mm machine guns, one flexible 7.7 mm machine gun in the rear cockpit, one 550 lb bomb under the fuselage and two 130 lb bombs on wing racks, the Val is perhaps best known for the part it played in the bombing of Pearl Harbour

INTERNATIONAL TRACKED : This is a normal postal service. It is tracked but is not guaranteed to arrive on a set time scale. It is the most cost effective service but is a lot slower than couriers. For fast delivery we reccommend our other services that are offered at checkout.

DPD EUROPE/PARCELFORCE EUROPE: These are courier tracked services but can still take more than a week.

FED-EX: This is a guaranteed service with included tracking number. It is also much quicker than airmail.

Loss or damage:

If goods are found to be faulty on deliver after inspection they may be returned for a replacement. If no replacement is available then monies will be refunded in full. Please make sure you inform us within 7 days of receipt of any faults when you inspect the goods

Non Delivery

Claims for missing items or the non delivery of orders must be made within 28 days of the despatch date. All trackable orders will have a P.O.D. signature showing the delivery date and who signed for it.
