This is a 1:72 scale diecast scale model of the Hobbymaster MiG-29A Fulcrum 6829 Slovak Tiger 2002. It comes with display stand and landing gear.
The MiG-29 is a twin-engine, supersonic, fourth-generation air superiority jet fighter that was developed in the Soviet Union during the 1970s. This aircraft was introduced into service with the Soviet Air Force in 1983 and continues to be operational with them, as well as being utilized by over twenty-four other nations throughout the years. The NATO designation for the MiG-29 is Fulcrum, and it was specifically designed to counter the American F-16 and F-18 fighters. The MiG-29 made its first appearance in the West in 1986. The variant known as MiG-29 (9-13) is referred to as the Fulcrum C.
The Slovak Air Force, which is part of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic since 2002, received the MiG-29A Fulcrum that was manufactured in late 1994, with the construction number 296053606. This aircraft was delivered to the 1st Squadron at Sliač in January 1995, designated as 6829. MiG-29A 6829 was adorned with a special tiger scheme to serve as the demonstrator for the 2002 air show. On June 8th and 9th, 2002, this aircraft participated in the Slovak 5th International Air Display. Unfortunately, on November 6, 2002, 6829 was involved in a mid-air collision with MiG-29 6930, resulting in the destruction of both aircraft and the loss of one pilot.
