The new RFD Pilot liferaft has been extensively designed and researched with the general aviation pilot in mind.
Made in the UK this 4 -6 person liferaft is very lightweight and therefore is ideally suited for use on light aircraft with a capacity of four to six people.
RFD have constructed this liferaft from the latest high visibility materials and incorporating their unique design features. Of Particular note is the inlcusion of a self erecting canopy, arch tube and roof.
It is a compact and stable aviation liferaft and one of the most popular liferafts available today.
RFD designed the canopy to be an integrated design feature of the raft. It erects and supports itself automatically held in position by an inflatable arch tube. which also serves as another buoyancy aid in addition to the primary buoyancy tube being designed with a non-return CO2 valve.
When faced with the bad weather the included Velcro seals can be used to protect against the elements. Of particular note is the stabilising water pockets fitted to the underside of the floor to prevent capsize in rough water.
This together with a boarding ladder which again is fitted to the entrance makes this RFD Pilot liferaft superb value for money. Of course the RFD pilot has internal and external lifelines attached to the raft and also includes a sea anchor drogue, a rescue line and quoit and an internally stored emergency pack fixed under the boarding ladder for instant use.
The Pilot liferaft is packed in a flexible valise which is held closed with a velcro fastening.
