This is the standard Slow Wall Charger that comes with the Icom IC-R5 and IC-R20 as standard, but if you have lost yours then this is the replacement you need. With auto-peak cut off the charger will charge the batterries at 1/10th of the mAh of the batteries installed. What this means is that if your rechargeable batteries are say 700mAh, then the slow charger will charger at 70mAh an hour taking 10 hours to charge. If you want to fast charge the batteries you will need the MW-1298 Fast charger which will charge your batteries at 700mAh taking 1 hour to re-charge them.

This spare or additional battery for the Icom IC-R20 can be charged using the optional BC-156 Rapid desk charger of the BC-07 UK Battery Charger

The ICOM CT-17 CI-V Level Converter allows the connection of the IC-R8500 to a personal computer RS-232C port. In fact, up to four Icom CI-V receivers or transceiverscan be connected via the CT-17 at once! The CT-17 comes with a DC power cord and mini jumper cable (to connect to the R8500). The user must supply a serial cable to the computer and a 12 VDC power source The CT-17 includes the Data Format and Command Table for those who wish to write their own software

The AD-92SMA is an Antenna connector adapter from SMA on radio to BNC female. This adapter allows you to connect a BNC type antenna to your IC-R5.

The OPC-474 cable is a cloning cable that allows you to share data from one receiver to another. It will work with virtually any Icom handheld and we have tested this with the IC-R5, IC-A3 and IC-A22E and can confirm this works fine. Please note, we have only tested cloning between two identical handheld types. ie: IC-R5 to IC-R5

The ICOM OPC-478U is a special USB serial interface cable kit that transfers data from your Icom IC-R5 to your computer via your PC's USB Socket. The kit includes the OPC-478U interface box, the OPC-1045 USB cable and a driver diskette. The OPC-478U can also be connected to a USB 2.0 port, however it will be transferring data in the USB 1.1 format. It is recommended that the OPC-478U not be used with a USB extension cable as data errors may result.

• When using the OPC-478U for the first time, while Windows is running, the "New Hardware is found" dialog box appears. In this case, the USB driver installation is necessary. Icom provides these drivers on a 3.5 inch diskette that is included with your OPC-478U. It features drivers for: Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 98/ME environments.
