Over 2000 VRPs, navaids and towns - perfect for any GPS user
The En-route Guide is the only 'GPS companion' compiled specifically for aviation use with WGS84 latitude/longitude 'GPS' co-ordinates given in decimals, not seconds, allowing direct entry into aviation GPS units.
The introductory section details airfield weather broadcasts, LARS units (with map) and, as part of the AOPA safety initiative, lists those airfields which offer free landings to diverting aircraft.
The main part of the guide gives GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates and basic data for:
Airfields - Every active airfield marked on the CAA 1:500,000 series charts is listed, a total of nearly 800 UK airfields. Each entry is given with its ICAO code (where allocated), inital radio contact frequency and GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates.
Navaids - All enroute navaids are listed alphabetically by name, with their identification letters, frequency, morse decode and GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates.
Towns - All significant towns over 2 sq. Km in size are listed with their GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates.
VRPs and Disused Airfields - All Visual Referenct Points (VRPs) and all disused airfields marked on the current CAA 1:500,000 charts are listed with their GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates.
Gliding Sites and BGA Turning Points - Gliding Sites and over 600 BGA turning points are given with their code, visual reference and GPS Lat/Long co-ordinates.
