The authors
After leaving the RAF where he was on the test and development staff of the Empire Air Navigation School at Shawbury, Tony Palmer has spent all his working life teaching civil aviation navigation subjects both in the United Kingdom and abroad. He was attached to the College of Air Training, Hamble, where he was eventually Head of Ground Training. He worked closely witht he late Roy Underdown, former principle of the College of Air Training and previous authors of this and other books in the Ground Studies For Pilots Series. Tony Palmer is still actively engaged in teaching as the Director of Training with Airline Training Associates Ltd.
