Terms and Conditions for the use of www.flightstore.co.uk

  • Email / Telephone response time

    Flightstore will endevour rto reply to your enquiry the same business day as we receive it upto 4pm each day. Enquiries received after that time will be attempted to be answered the next business day.

  • Payment Options:
    FLIGHTSTORE accepts VISA, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Switch and Bankers Cheques . If you are uncomfortable about sending your credit card details over the Internet using our secure payment system, then you can place your order over the phone, by fax, or forward a cheque for the full amount.
    Note: for additional security your credit card details are never stored on www.flightstore.co.uk

    We collect information about you: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

    The type of information we will collect about you includes:

    All manufacturers normal guarantees apply.
  • Supply of Goods:
    It may be, that due to circumstances beyond our control, FLIGHTSTORE are not able to guarantee the supply of goods. The acknowledgment generated to a customer at the time an order is placed is confirmation only of the details given by the customer and is not an acceptance of the order. Prices may change at any time or goods may not currently be available. Should this be the case FLIGHTSTORE will contact the customer by e-mail, fax or telephone within 5 working days to appraise them of the situation and give them the option to cancel.
  • Order Acknowledgement:
    An order placed on the website will be acknowledged as received through an 'Order Acknowledgement' sent to your e-mail address. The order becomes confirmed at the point of despatch. If there are any problems with your order, then you will be contacted directly.
  • Quality of Goods/Fitness for Purpose:
    FLIGHTSTORE makes every effort to ensure that products advertised on the site are of a high quality. In the event that goods received are found not to be of merchantable quality or fit for the purpose described by the manufacturers they may be returned and a replacement (if requested and available) will be sent otherwise we will refund your monies in full. All the details, dimensions and usage of the products shown on the web site have been supplied to FLIGHTSTORE by the manufacturers/suppliers.
  • Returns Procedures and refunds:

    At Flightstore.co.uk we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items.
    Should any of our products be unwanted they may be returned within 30 days for a full refund or exchange for a different item. Please pack the relevant item securely with its original packaging and send it to us with a copy of your sales receipt slip and an explanation for its return, so that we receive it within 30 working days after the day of the date that the item was delivered to you .
    Exclusions

    We cannot accept returns of items personalised or made to your specification; audio/video recordings or software that you have unsealed; items that, by reason of their nature, cannot be returned; perishable goods (e.g. food and flowers), and periodicals/magazines.
    Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us .
    In the case of all returned items it is the customers responsibility to ensure safe delivery to ourselves. We recommend an insured postal service is used.
    In the case of exchanges for different products you will be charged for re-delivery.

    If you are returning unwanted DVD's Videos, Computer Software etc for replacement for a different title you will be charged postage and packing for the return of the correct item.
    For software it is important for you to read the back of the package for compatability before opening. It is widely accepted that the majority of "Non-working" software is related to the users hardware configuration and not the software.

    Unwanted unopened Liferafts and Lifejackets may be returned, but in these cases a Servicing cost will be charged to cover the cost of a "New" service which is required by the manufacturers even if they have not been used and are unopened. The cost of this servicing is £25.00 per lifejacket and £95 per Liferaft.

    Please note that we are also unable to refund or exchange goods made or altered to suit the customers own requirements.

    Faulty Items

    Please return faulty goods to our headoffice at 1, Townhall Street, Mirfield, West Yorkshire, WF14 8DH for a repair or like for like replacement.
    The item must be within the manufacturers warranty period & proof of purchase in the form of your sales receipt is required.

    In the case of all returned items it is the customers responsibility to ensure safe delivery to ourselves. We reccommend an insured postal service is used.
    The cost of returning all items is the customers responsibilty except where a fault is discovered within 30 days of purchase. In this case Flightstore will arrange collection at our cost. Please contact us for a returns number (RMA) on 01924 509273.
    If a faulty item is returned to Flightstore without a returns number we will not be liable for any costs you incurred in returning it to us.
    Where items returned under (RMA) are subsequently found NOT to be faulty, the customer will be liable for all costs.

    Items sent in error
    Please contact Flightstore for an RMA number on 01924 509273 if you have received the wrong item. We will endevour to send you the correct item as fast as possible once we receive the incorrect item back. You will not be liable for any carriage charges to rectify this situation providing you have requested an RMA returns number.


  • VAT:
    All our store prices are VAT inclusive. A VAT invoice will be forwarded to you with your delivery.

  • Delivery Methods & Charges:
    FLIGHTSTORE only charge per order and not per product ordered. At the time of Checkout the appropriate delivery options will be presented along with their costs for you to select the most appropriate for your circumstances. Details of these charges can be found in the delivery section of the website. These options may change as different services are sourced at the most effective price for our customers.
    All charges will be made clear BEFORE asking you to finally confirm the payment of your items. If your country of origin is not listed please contact FLIGHTSTORE to see if we can arrange delivery to your destination.
  • Loss or damage:
    If goods are found to have been damaged in transit then they may be returned and a replacement, if requested and if available, will be despatched. If no replacement is available then monies will be refunded in full. FLIGHTSTORE must be informed within 7 days of receipt by either e-mail enquries@flightstore.co.uk or by telephone on 01924 509273 with confirmation in writing there-after. It is in your own interests to check the delivery immediately and notify FLIGHTSTORE of any problems.
  • Data Protection Act:
    The information requested on this site may be used by FLIGHTSTORE to confirm, update and enhance our customer records. Your DATA will never be passed onto any 3rd party requests. Information may also be disclosed and used for fraud detection purposes. In terms of the Data Protection Act you are entitled to a copy of all your personal data held by us on computer on payment of a small fee.
  • Title:
    Title of goods does not pass to the purchaser until the goods are paid for in full. The responsibility and risk in the Goods shall pass to the buyer at the point of delivery and FLIGHTSTORE shall have no responsibility in respect of the safety of the goods thereafter.
  • Security of Credit Card Payment Options:
    At the point where you confirm and request the purchase by pressing the 'send order' button you will be transferred to a 'SSL' secure sockets server. Any details that are received by this server will be encrypted by 1028 bit technology before being e-mailed to FLIGHTSTORE . You will know when you are sending secure information as the top bar in your browser will read "https: the 's' standing for secure. Your browser may also indicate this by showing an unbroken key or locked padlock in the bottom corner.
  • Law:
    All contracts by FLIGHTSTORE for the sale of the goods shall be deemed in all respects to be contracts made, performed and contracted according to English Law.
  • Value Sets:
    Where customers have purchased "Value Sets" as promoted on the Flightstore website, each item which comprise the set are covered individually. Where an item is deemed to be faulty, the individual item in question should only be returned and not the full value set. Flightstore reserves the right not to accept back the full value set and to verify the item is faulty.
