Written by a qualified flying instructor on both Weight-Shift and 3-Axis Microlight's, this manual extends the syllabus into an easy read for the student pilot wishing to gain an NPPL (m) on Weight-Shift Microlight's.
It helps with the assistance of your chosen instructor and 'what to expect' during and before each exercise is undertaken.
Developed originally for the authors own students, as they needed to supply a manual to explain their next lesson, it is now offered to a wider market. It covers, in detail all exercises from the first air experience (exercises 1-3) up to and including navigation (exercise 18) and offers colour line drawings to further clarify the text.
Invaluable to all Microlight Weight-Shift students.

This landing pattern computer is an easy to use popular plastic circular calculator. Pocket size, this calculator is only 100mm in diameter. Left hand patterns are on one side of the calculator, right hand patterns on the other. The desired runway heading is located in the runway window which automatically co-locates headings for cross-wind, down-wind and base legs. The aircraft heading can be set with the cursor on the outer compass rose enabling the pilot to select the most convenient circuit join method.
Contrasting yellow and black scales enhance clarity.
New from 2003 is this exciting and revolutionary new product from Sifeba products in Australia.
The NAV-AID PLUS solves the most troublesome aspects of visual navigation, off-course heading corrections and unexpected diversions and offers the extra benefit, at little extra cost, of two instruments in one. An in-built circular computer allows you to do your pre-flight and en-route calculations of ground speed, distance and time intervals without the need of another instrument.
This Patented product gives the heading change from present position direct to the destination, or a selected diversion.
The NAV-AID PLUS has for convenience one defined distance scale of Sectional 1:500,000. No multiple scales to cause confusion.
Todays technology has given us the G.P.S. but V.F.R. still requires visual navigation as the primary method. The NAV-AID PLUS and your aeronautical chart is all you should require with the comfort that track corrections or diversions are easily taken care of. THE NAV-AID PLUS has been constructed from a special synthetic material of such thickness and flexibility to allow it to be bent without permanent distortion or breakage. The NAV-AID PLUS
THREE SIMPLE STEPS
1.Place the centrepoint of the base-line over the present position.
2.Align the base-line with the departure point or last fix.
3.Using the radials read off the number of degrees to alter present heading to fly direct to destination.
No need for 1:60 rules or computers!
The NAV-AID RULE accomplishes the task quickly and easily.
