Revue Thommen is a Swiss brand and was founded in 1853 by Gedeon Thommen. Only watches were produced until the 1930s when the company diversified into aviation instruments. Today RT's instruments are among the leading products in the aviation industry. The "Airspeed" range of pilots' watches reflects the aviation instrument heritage in that these watches are extremely easy to read. There is also a "Traditional" range of watches. This includes mechanical alarm watches for which RT has been famous since the 1950s. Some of the watches use RT's own movements. Today the RT watch operation is part of the Grovana group which has been the case since 2001.
