The Irvin RAF Sheepskin Flying Jacket is practical: its made from first-rate, hard-wearing materials and its made with the same pedantic attention to detail demonstrated by its creator. It will last you virtually forever, but its not just about practical stuff - the Irvin jacket is a legend, its part of a story, it has its place in our history and as much as anything else owning a genuine Irvin just feels right. You put it on and theres no question that youre part of something special.
What a fabulous jacket. I use it in my vintage cars and it does not let any wind in at all. With the collar up nothing copme back down your neck. It is pretty heavy and will stand up on its own so needs lots or Neetsfoot oil to make it supple. The problem is how do you make it look all aged without having to wear it everday in an open cockpit
